Experience: Has served as mediator in several federal and state employment and commercial disputes, involving both statutory and common law actions, plus all phases of employer/employee relations. Also served as construction mediator and in various court proceedings involving claims against educational institutions. Certified member of both federal and state mediation panels.
Representative Issues: Employment discrimination, wrongful termination, age discrimination, ERISA collection cases, construction disputes and other statutory claims.
Multi Party Mediation Experience: Mediated employment claims involving both individual and institutional defendants.

Mediation Philosophy: I seek to understand the parties’ expectations, enlighten them on reasonable possibilities for settlement, and then draw all sides to common ground. My 49 plus years of experience as an attorney and experience as a full time arbitrator permit me to educate the parties as to the uncertainties of litigation and the strengths and weaknesses of their respective cases. In the process, I expect the parties and their counsel to be candid when expressing their views and desires, but realistic as to the need for compromise.
